There are many comparisons that could be made to the death of Dale Earnhardt and children who die in the back seat of hot cars.
NASCAR driver Jeff Burton has voiced concern about rising temperatures inside race cars. He's also spoken out to raise awareness about kids being left in hot cars.
Dale Earnhardt refused to use safety devices that might have prevented his fatal injuries. Even though there are devices to remind parents that their children are in the back, they are rarely used.
Earnhardt died on the final lap, close the finish line. He was unable to make the last stretch to the end. Many forgotten children die in cars very close to help, some even yards from their home. They never reach their final destination.
